Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is beneficial for any age, size, breed, and discipline of horse. MK Equine has worked on rodeo horses, barrel horses, ranch horses, jumpers, reiners, dressage prospects, retired pasture buddies, and trail horses.

The key part of my massage therapy is utilizing Ischemic Compression. This releases endorphins and flushes out toxins by applying different pressures to break up "trigger points" in the horse's muscles. Much like working out knots on people! It uses the horse's own body for healing.

Trigger point therapy works to eliminate toxins. Horses may be sore 24-48 hours after massage. Light exercise or movement is suggested after appointments.
